Falmouth Man Dies In Sandwich Crash

SANDWICH (CBS) --- A Falmouth man is dead after a one-car crash early Thursday.

It happened on Route 6 eastbound, near Exit 3 around 1 a.m. A state trooper working a construction detail nearby, reported a car entered the work zone and collided with a flatbed truck.

The trooper removed the man, identified as Alexander D. Holmes, 26, from the car and rendered first aid until EMTs arrived. Holmes was taken to Cape Cod Hospital where he later died.

Police have not said what may have led to the crash.
