Rhode Island Boy Tyler Seddon Now Cancer Free

BOSTON (CBS) --- Seven-year-old Tyler Seddon is now cancer-free.

The Rhode Island boy captured hearts across the country and hundreds of first responders turned out to support him during his 7th birthday party.

Seddon's mother says her son is in good spirits and the next step will be a bone marrow transplant.

"He's cancer free and Boston will be calling to let us know when we'll be leaving for transplant," Rachel Seddon told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "He'll be leaving hopefully soon and we'll be in Boston for eight weeks after he gets his transplant for recovery and see how his body handles all of it."

This is Tyler's second battle with leukemia.
