Woman Dies In Head-On Sturbridge Crash

STURBRIDGE (CBS) -- A deadly car crash in Sturbridge claimed the life of a 58-year-old woman.

It happened overnight on Route 148. Two vehicles, an SUV and a car, collided just after midnight, Sunday.

Police say the driver of the car, identified as Deborah Parker of Palmer, crossed the center line and slammed head-on into the SUV. Parker was pronounced dead at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge.

The occupants of the SUV refused medical treatment. So far, there's no word on what caused the crash.
