PD: Teen Charged In UNH Dorm Break-Ins, Peeping Tom Incident

DURHAM, NH (CBS) – A now-former University of New Hampshire student is facing a number of charges in connection with several alleged incidents, including breaking into a dorm room and recording video in women’s bathrooms on the campus.

UNH police arrested 18-year-old Kewei Chen, of Ningbo Cixi, China. He is charged with burglary, attempted burglary, two counts of violation of privacy, and criminal trespass.

Officials say Chen was identified in at least one alleged ‘Peeping Tom’ incident, and suspected in several others that have occurred on campus over the past five weeks.

According to the school, Chen is no longer a student there and he has been banned from campus.

He is being held on $15,000 cash bail and has been ordered to surrender his passport.
