BOSTON (CBS) — It’s official: Darrelle Revis is a Patriot.
Revis’ agency, Schwartz and Feinsod, tweeted the news on Monday afternoon.
The Patriots later tweeted out the news as well.
It’s not as if there was any doubt that the deal would be made official, but it nevertheless took a few extra days, leading some to wonder why the deal hadn’t yet been signed.
But Revis was in Foxboro on Monday, where he took his physical and signed the contract.
Revis’ marketing manager, John Geiger, tweeted a photo of Revis being shown his new home stadium.
The contract is for two years and $32 million, though in reality it’s more along the lines of a one-year deal worth $12 million.
