BOSTON (CBS) — Good news, Patriots fans! All that time you spent learning how to pronounce and/or spell Hoomanawanui will not be going to waste.

The Patriots will sign Michael Hoomanawanui to a two-year deal, according to Yahoo’s Rand Getlin and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Hoomanawanui, affectionately known as “Hoo-Man” to those lacking the ambition to utter all seven syllables of his name, has 17 receptions for 245 yards and one touchdown in his two seasons with the Patriots. He previously had 20 receptions for 229 yards and three touchdowns in two seasons (16 total games) for the St. Louis Rams.

He also has three receptions for 39 yards in two career playoff games for the Patriots.

The 25-year-old was drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 draft.
