Felger & Mazz: March 5, 2014
Felger and Massarotti opened the day discussing the Boston Bruins and today’s NHL Trade Deadline. The Bruins have until 3pm today to make a move. Mike and Tony also played a new game called “Things That Bugged Us in the Paper Today.” The Bruins made a couple moves before the deadline. The B’s have claimed defenseman Corey Potter of the Edmonton Oilers off waivers and then the Bruins acquired Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Andrej Meszaros for a 3rd round pick.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz break down the moves made by the Bruins. What will the fans think of the acquisitions the B’s made? Bruins radio color analyst, Bob Beers, joined Felger and Massarotti to talk some B’s and the NHL Trade Deadline. Have the Bruins done enough to be considered a championship team?
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys got into the New England Patriots. Mike and Tony sited an article written by Ron Borges that discussed the future of Vince Wilfork in New England. Wilfork will be earning $11.5 million towards the 2014 salary cap. Should the Pats cut Wilfork? Finally, are fans disappointed with the moves the Bruins made by the deadline?
To kick off the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz send it out to the TD Garden where Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli addresses the media after today’s NHL Trade Deadline. Are fans frustrated with Chiarelli’s minor moves? Mike and Tony went on to discuss the latest news surrounding the Boston Celtics, Danny Ainge, and Rajon Rondo’s “off day” last week.
