NightSide - Jason and Jamie Fowler

BOSTON (CBS) - A Chicago area family has come to a stalemate with a Massachusetts-based pharmaceutical company. Jason and Jamie Fowler are the parents of Jack, who sadly suffers from Hunter Syndrome. The disease will lead to Jack's death if he is not treated. Shire Pharmaceuticals is in the middle of a clinical trial of a drug that could save Jack's life. Though it has not been given FDA clearance, legally the company could provide the treatment since it would potentially save the boy's life. But Shire has decided not to do this, as any negative outcomes or adverse effects could have financial implications. Jason and Jamie are in studio to talk with Dan about the battle they are fighting for their son's life.
