WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — The case of a woman charged with killing her pregnant friend and cutting the baby from her womb went to a jury Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Julie Corey killed Darlene Haynes, who was eight months pregnant, made an incision in Haynes’ abdomen and took her baby in July 2009. The baby girl survived, and Corey told her boyfriend the baby was theirs.
