BOSTON (CBS) — No matter what the weather is like outside… it’s always warm and cozy inside the Driftwood.

Located in historic downtown Plymouth, the Driftwood Publick House is comfortable gastropub where craft beers and well crafted comfort food are a perfect pairing.

“A lot of our food items, they just make you want to drink, and a lot of our drinks make you want to eat, so it works out nice.”

Owners Matt Hennessy and Rebekah Bryant have created a restaurant where the food can be familiar yet unexpected at the same time.

The chowder is made with oysters, not clams… The Skirt Steak is topped with chimmichuri… The calamari is crusted with blue cornmeal… The fries are actually thin cut potato ribbons… The Shepherd’s Pie is made with Braised Short Ribs… The fresh baked pretzel is stuffed with steak and cheese… And the nachos are topped with kangaroo!

“That was just something that I put on just like on a whim, just want to do some weird funky, something different, something that would blow somebody’s mind, being like ‘oh, what, kangaroo?'”

With twenty beers on draft… a fully stocked raw bar… homemade desserts… and a friendly laid back attitude, the Driftwood is the kind of place where you’ll want to get comfortable… get some great eats… and just stay all day.
