BOSTON (CBS) –  Zdeno Chara is bringing his title of captain overseas to the Sochi Olympics.

Chara will once again represent his homeland of the Slovakia in the Winter Olympics, as he was named the team captain on Tuesday.

Chara played with Slovakia in both 2006 and 2010, totaling one goal and four assists in 13 games of Olympic play. Slovakia had their highest finish in the Vancouver games in 2010, placing fourth.

Along with Chara, Bruins center David Krecji (Czech Republic), and goaltender Tuukka Rask (Finland) were named to Olympic rosters. Injured forward Loui Eriksson (out with a concussion) was also named to Sweden’s roster.
