In today’s “Celtics @ 7”, host Adam Kaufman dissected the week that was for Rajon Rondo. From his comments about when he’ll be back on the court for games to the rumors he could force his way to New York in a trade, Boston’s injured All-Star point guard was once again the talk of the town. Kaufman says there’s absolutely no way Danny Ainge will deal Rondo to the Knicks.
Comcast SportsNet New England’s A. Sherrod Blakely joined the program in the second segment and offered his thoughts on the Rondo rumors, as well as what direction he thinks the Celtics will or should go in as the season continues. Though no one is untouchable for a rebuilding franchise, Blakely feels the C’s should think seriously about not dealing Jared Sullinger.
The show wraps up with a look at the NBA’s newly-discussed draft format that was created by Celtics assistant general manager Mike Zarren. It’s unique and adds a definitive structure to what’s currently a world of future uncertainty.
