BOSTON (CBS) – The departing commissioner of the Boston Transportation Department is headed to work for MassDOT.
Thomas Tinlin will take over next month as Chief of Operations and Maintenance.
Tinlin spent nearly a decade as BTD’s Commissioner.
“Tom brings to the Highway Division his accomplishments as a skilled manager and a real passion for incorporating innovation into the way daily business is handled,” Administrator DePaola said in a news release. “In his role with MassDOT, he will be working closely with our Highway Districts across the Commonwealth to increase consistency and accountability of our maintenance and operations.”
Tinlin holds a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University and has also served as a community liaison to MassDOT.
