Dog Pulled From Charles River In Wellesley

WELLESLEY (CBS) — It was a close call in Wellesley Sunday when a dog fell through the ice.

Wellesley Fire rescued the golden retriever named “Crosby” from the Charles River off Winding River Road. Crosby was trapped 50 yards offshore.

Police say the dog is going to be OK.

Significant thawing over the weekend has melted much of the ice and snow that had previously blanketed the region.
