HYANNIS (CBS) -- Two infants were lowered from the second floor of a burning building into the arms of bystanders Saturday afternoon during a two-alarm fire on Main Street in Hyannis, fire officials said.

The fire in the two-story apartment building at 174 Main St. broke out at about 5 p.m. The children's mother and another person also had to escape from windows to flee the blaze, Hyannis Fire Department officials said, adding no one was hurt in the fire.
