Tewksbury Compost Fire Sends Smoky Haze Over I-93
TEWKSBURY (CBS) - A fire in a compost pile caught commuters' attention Thursday morning in the Tewksbury, North Reading and Wilmington areas.
A thick smoky haze hung over I-93 during the morning commute while firefighters battled the stubborn fire.
Officials say the source of the smoke was a fire in a commercial compost pile in Tewksbury.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
