Ortiz, Victorino, Officer Horgan Shave Beards For Charity

BOSTON (CBS) — Some famous Boston beards were shaved off Monday morning for charity.

Red Sox postseason stars David Ortiz and Shane Victorino had their playoff beards shaved in a promotion at Gillette's world headquarters in Boston.

Victorino posted this tweet after his shave:

After they were done, Boston police officer Steve Horgan, the bullpen cop who became famous after Ortiz's grand slam in the ALCS, had his beard shaved in front of the media.

He was joined by lucky Red Sox fan Mike Grant, who was chosen on social media.

Gillette sponsored the event and donated $100,000 to the One Fund for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
