Bruins Recall Prospect Ryan Spooner From Providence

BOSTON (CBS)  - Bruins prospect Ryan Spooner has been called up to Boston, and will be available for Thursday night's game against the Anaheim Ducks at the TD Garden.

The 21-year-old Spooner has skated in eight games this season for the Providence Bruins, tallying two goals and five assists. Spooner led the baby B's in scoring last season with 59 points on 17 goals and 40 assists in 59 regular season games played.

Spooner has played in four NHL games since making his NHL debut last season on February 6. He put four shots on goal in his brief time in the NHL, but has yet to record his first career point.

The Bruins drafted Spooner in the second round (45th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
