NightSide - Julie Frascarelli Punished For Late Registration

BOSTON (CBS) - Julie Frascarelli has been a nurse for thirty years. She has spent more than six years caring for her current patient, a twelve year old boy who is unable to speak, see, or walk. Recently, her nursing license expired for a period of about six weeks before Frascarelli realized the mistake and filed the paperwork to have it renewed. After paying a sixty dollar late fee, she got her new license and thought all was well. But now, Mass Health, the state agency, is asking for her to return the $10,000 she made during the time her license was expired. Do you think this is fair?
