BOSTON (CBS) – At The WBZ Water Cooler: Ever wonder how Sweet Caroline in the middle of the 8th started at Fenway?
Who picks the batters walk up music?
Or do the players even notice?
We caught up with the man who has all the answers, Red Sox DJ TJ Connelly.
We got the “inside baseball” scoop, and learned that he has a “very complicated” relationship with David Ortiz who is known to be very particular about his jams.
He also told us how Will Middlebrooks turned to Stevie Ray Vaughan when he went into the mid season slump that sent him down to the minors.
Connelly says he loves seeing spontaneous sing-along’s happen at Fenway, and says what the fans have started doing when Shane Victorino walks up to Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds “is just fantastic.”
