Alton, NH Police Search For Armed Bank Robber

ALTON, NH (CBS) - Police are looking for a man who held up a bank in Alton, New Hampshire on Thursday.

The gunman walked into the Meredith Village Savings Bank on Wolfeboro Highway just after 4:30 p.m.

Police say he hopped over the counter and emptied a cash drawer while holding a teller at gunpoint.

He's described as white, approximately 5'7 and 170 lbs.

He was carrying a red duffle bag, and wearing a black ski mask, a gray pullover sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police believed he hopped in a silver four-door sedan, possibly a Ford Focus.
