BOSTON (CBS) – A small earthquake was felt in Central New Hampshire Thursday night.

The Weston Observatory reports the 2.5 magnitude quake was centered five kilometers northwest of Contoocook.

The quake was recorded shortly after 9pm.

Real time information from the USGS was not available due to the government shutdown.

There have been no reports of damage.

The Franklin, New Hampshire Fire Department tells WBZ-TV they felt the ground rumble for about five seconds.
