Red Sox ALCS Schedule Announced

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Red Sox earned a few days of rest by finishing off the Tampa Bay Rays in four games in the divisional round. They will now face the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS.

Game 1 will be Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at Fenway Park, with Game 2 coming Sunday night at 8 p.m. (right after the Patriots-Saints game ends down in Foxboro).

The Red Sox were dominant at Fenway Park in their two ALDS home games, beating the Rays 12-2 in Game 1 and then 7-4 in Game 2, so home-field advantage will be on their side as they fight for the American League pennant.

The Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland A's 3-0 in Game 5 of the ALDS Thursday night in Oakland. The Tigers will now fly cross-country to Boston for Game 1 on Saturday night.

The Red Sox went 3-4 against the Tigers (1-3 at Detroit in June, 2-1 at Fenway in September, including a 20-4 blowout in the series finale) this season.
