Public safety officials from several agencies had been searching Walden Pond for the swimmer since Sunday night.

On Sunday, the state police barracks in Concord received a call from the Concord Police Department reporting a possible missing swimmer at Walden Pond.

The swimmer, a 63-year-old Lincoln man, had told his wife prior to his swim that he may attempt to cross the length of Walden Pond, the state police said.

State Police have not yet identified the body, but say it appears to be the missing man.

There's no word on what led to the man's death.
