Middleboro Officials Concerned Drugs Marketed As Incense

"It has a picture of Scooby Doo on the front," Selectman Vice Chairman Allin Frawley told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kim Tunnicliffe. "It's a poison marketed toward children."

Known as Scooby Snax, Spice and K2, town officials say these designer drugs masqueraded as incense and potpourri are selling in Middleboro stores.

"It is labeled not for human consumption," Frawley said. "If you go into any store, it's sold with their tobacco smoking products. The owners know exactly what it is."

Frawley is working on a local by-law that would ban the drug.

In the meantime, he's urging residents to boycott stores that sell the incense.
