Bodies Of Men Found In New Hampshire River Identified
HAMPTON, N.H. (CBS) — New Hampshire authorities have identified the bodies of two men found Friday in the Hampton River.
After the state medical examiner’s office conducted autopsies on the men’s remains Saturday, the Hampton Police Department identified the pair as Mark Classen, 57, of River Avenue, Hampton, and Bruce Menezes, 53, of River Avenue, Hampton.
The medical examiner determined the cause of death for both men was drowning, the police said in a prepared statement.
At about 10:47 a.m. Friday, the Hampton Police received a report that a body was floating in the Hampton River. Officers recovered the body using a small boat, the police said.
Then at about noon, investigators at the scene discovered a second body floating in the river. The second man’s body was recovered with assistance of the New Hampshire Marine Patrol, the police said.
The Hampton Police Department continues to investigate the men’s deaths.
