NH Father And Son Charged In Bingo Hall Robbery

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — Police say a 46-year-old man and his son are in custody after employees at Nashua bingo hall foiled an attempted robbery.

Authorities say Charles Preston of Nashua allegedly entered the Eagle Wing Function Hall at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday while his 22-year-old son, Justin Preston, stood outside.

Charles Preston is charged with walking into the business office armed with a handgun and demanding cash. But investigators say other employees confronted him and pinned him to the ground until officers arrived.

Charles Preston was charged with robbery, while his son was charged with criminal liability to robbery. Nobody was injured.

The men are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. It wasn't clear if they had lawyers.
