NH Lightning Strike

"This huge bolt of lightning exploded in the sky and shortly after that the phone rang and we were told that a child had been hurt by the lightning down along the river." camp co-owner Laurie Bonica told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Monday.

The child was taken to the hospital and the adult was treated at the scene.

No names or conditions were released.

About 150 people were camping in the area at the time of the strike.

"Different people reported seeing like sparks, or (a) glow coming up out of the ground in different spots along the river and different parts of the campground. One was in the playground area," Bonica said.
