NY Gov. Cuomo's Daughters Head To Harvard, Brown

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The twin daughters of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his former wife Kerry Kennedy are off to the Ivy League.

Cuomo says Monday his daughter Cara is leaving for Harvard University and Mariah is going to Brown University this week to begin college.

His third daughter with Kennedy is younger and attends public school in Westchester County.

Cuomo says he's a desperate father trying to cling to the last days before his daughters "leave the nest."

Cuomo was divorced from Kennedy in 2003. She's the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy and a Brown graduate.

The governor attended Fordham University and Albany Law School, both in New York. There was no immediate comment on why the women chose schools outside New York.
