CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire Troopers Association has raised $15,000 for the main relief fund for Boston Marathon bombing victims.
The association raised the money through T-shirt sales to members and the public.
The money is going to One Fund Boston, which was set up by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick.
The association said the fundraising was an opportunity to support those who were killed and injured “as well as showing Boston that New Hampshire stands strong with them.”
Authorities say two ethnic Chechen brothers from Russia living in the Boston area orchestrated the April 15 bombings that killed three and injured or maimed 260. Twenty-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has pleaded not guilty. His older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev died following a gunbattle with police three days after the bombings.
