New research from the Department of Agriculture finds your kids will cost you nearly $250,000 before they turn 18.
You read that right — $250,000 BEFORE they turn 18.
Where does all that money go?
Researchers say:
Housing.
Health care.
Child care.
Education.
It gets worse for anyone living in New England — the cost balloons to more than $277,000.
And then there’s college — which has the potential to double that number.
