Drying Out...

Drenching thunderstorms have mostly cleared the area...some towns picked up over two inches of rain...the result numerous reports of flash flooding.  The coldfront is still back to the west and will be sliding through overnight...until it passes, there is a small shower risk.  By morning, westerly winds swill stir and bring in drier air...in fact, by the afternoon, very low humidity will make it feel great!  We will see a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow with a small chance for a shower along the South Coast.

The coldfront will stall out over the Atlantic and clouds will be draped over us at times for Thursday but we should stay dry.  On Friday, the front will actually back up to the west and an area of low pressure will develop along it to our south.  The result, more showers breaking out on Friday.  That low will move north along the front for Saturday taking the rain with it and partly sunny skies will materialize.  Another slow-moving front will approach for later in the day on Sunday with showers and storms Sunday night through midday Monday.
