Scott Brown's Daughter Out Of Hospital After Complications From Cat Bite

BOSTON (CBS) --  The daughter of former Republican Senator Scott Brown is out of the hospital after suffering complications from a cat bite that required surgery.

Last week, Brown posted on his Facebook page saying Arianna was bitten at her veterinarian job.

Arianna graduated from Syracuse University in 2012. She currently works as a vet tech at the Washington Humane Society, according to her Facebook page.

In DC with Arianna. She got bit by a nasty cat at her vet job. Got infected, in the hospital in VA since Monday. Had an operation last night to scrape, irrigate, tendon and bone. Unreal. Think we are past the danger. Wondering if you have had similar crazy things happen to you or friends you know. Would love to hear the stories.

On Wednesday, Brown said his daughter was home after spending six days in the hospital.

Thank you all for your words of support for Arianna. After 6 days in the hospital and an operation later, she came home and seems to have turned the corner for the better. I have a whole new appreciation for how nasty cat bites can be. I have had cats since I was a kid and am looking at ours now, but wow, who would have thought. It became so serious, so early because of the location and depth of the bite. Anyway, just wanted to thank you all for your amazing personal stories and also for your thoughts for Ar. Meant a lot.

Brown currently works at Nixon Peabody LLP as counsel in the firm's Boston office.

Brown's name continues to be tossed around as a potential candidate in the 2014 race for Massachusetts governor.

Brown and wife Gail Huff's oldest daughter Ayla Brown, is a 2010 Boston College graduate, recording artist, and former American Idol finalist.
