NH Elementary School Principal Charged With 'Dope Slapping' Student
MILTON, NH (CBS) -- A school administrator in Milton, New Hampshire is off the job after allegedly "dope slapping" an elementary school student.
Court records say then-principal Charles Mills, 53, slapped a student with an open hand on the back of the head.
The incident reportedly happened in June.
Mills is now charged with assault.
Police began investigating after the student's parents reported it to the school.
According to the affidavit, Mills was attempting to quiet down the cafeteria when the victim was standing with his back toward Mills, talking to other students.
Mills allegedly struck the victim and when the victim looked at Mills, he just said, "shh."
The force of the slap, allegedly caused the child to bump his head.
Mills is due back in court later this month.
