Charges Upgraded In Fatal Dance-Floor Beating

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Charges have been upgraded to manslaughter against a New Hampshire man in a dance floor assault in which another man died.

A Rockingham County grand jury has charged 24-year-old Zachary O'Neill with manslaughter in the death of 24-year-old Joshua Krantz of Dover.

O'Neill is accused of repeatedly striking Krantz in the head on the dance floor of a Portsmouth bar.

Police say Krantz was found dead in his apartment the following day on April 6.

O'Neill originally was charged with first-degree assault.
