Relief...

After another oppressive day relief is on our doorstep and will work in late tonight and tomorrow.  A coldfront is sliding through, along it ther ehave been a few soaking showers, but behind the air dries out nicely.  The front will settle south of us in our coastal waters...this will keep a lot of clouds around but the showers should be focused through the Mid-Atlantic with a few straying up to the South Coast...most stay rain-free!  Winds behind the front will come in off the water...out of the NE...this will cool us off into the 70s for highs...a nice break from the recent heat.

Saturday will be similar with the front to our south and a lot of clouds overhead but very little if any rain.  High pressure will start to establish itself and the airmass will begin to warm from within...temps will climb into the 80s with a lot more sunshine on Sunday.  Following that another extended stretch of heat with very near or over 90 degrees...another heatwave likely for those away from the coast.  There will be a daily thunderstorm threat but it will be minimal...25% or less.
