Security Restrictions Do Little To Dampen Spirits On Esplanade
BOSTON (CBS) -- Security restrictions did little to dampen the spirits of those on the Esplanade, Thursday morning.
Things are much different this year with heavy security after the April Marathon bombings.
"It doesn't bother me because I know why they have this because of some selfish person decided to do what they did in April," one man told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Karen Twomey.

Security Restrictions Do Little To Dampen Spirits On Esplanade
Investigators say there are no known threats to the celebration but spectators can expect to see more patrols on the ground and in the air this year.
There will also be a heavy undercover police presence.

On Thursday morning, State Police continued to patrol the waterways around the Esplanade.
At one point, police stopped a suspicious boat with black trash bags onboard. Police cleared the boat and no problems were found.

With long lines to get onto the Esplanade Thursday morning, organizers said they don't believe the security changes deterred revelers.
