The red-tailed Boa, about 4 to 5-feet long, was discovered around 9 a.m., between a home’s sliding doors on King Place.

The resident told WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Kim Tunnicliffe that the snake was between her sliding doors.

The woman said when she looked down and saw the snake, she likely woke up the entire neighborhood with her screams.

Police believe the boa is someone’s pet, that got loose.

Cambridge officers were able to round-up the reptile safely.

The snake was taken to a Petco store in Cambridge for safe keeping while authorities try to track down the owner.
