Jerry Remy Out Another Week Due To Illness

BOSTON (CBS) -  Jerry Remy will miss another week of Red Sox games.

The color commentator has been out since May 28, with what he initially called his yearly allergies. Expecting just to miss a few days, Remy updated his situation on June 5 via Twitter, letting viewers know he would be out with a pneumonia.

Remy has not been on the Red Sox broadcasts since.

Remy last Tweeted on Sunday, wishing everyone a happy Father's Day.

There has been no update on Remy's situation, but plenty concern surrounding his health. The 60-year-old missed most of the 2009 season after undergoing treatment for lung cancer in 2008. In April, he revealed that he again underwent treatment for cancer during Spring Training.

Jim Rice and Peter Gammons will fill in for Remy during his absence.
