One Fund Deadline Approaches

The One Fund's deputy administrator said the claims were arriving Friday afternoon, and more were expected as the Saturday deadline approaches.

Three people were killed and more than 260 injured during the April 15 twin bombings.

The One Fund was established by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Gov. Deval Patrick, and has since received more than $47 million in donations. Payments are expected to start going out June 30.

The money will be distributed based on the severity of injuries. Fund administrator Kenneth Feinberg has warned that despite its impressive total, The One Fund won't be nearly large enough to fully compensate those who were hurt.
