New Hampshire State Police say they still don't know what caused a 2011 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by a 43-year-old Maine man, to strike a concrete island and protective barrier separating two lanes at the toll booth along Interstate 95.

The driver of the pickup truck, continued over the top of the barricade before striking the steel roof supports. The truck then became wedged between the booth and a tractor-trailer that was stopped at the toll booth.

The driver of the pickup was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

A toll booth collector, inside the booth at the time of the crash, was also not injured.

NH State Police closed two lanes of I-95 south for two hours to investigate the crash.

There is no word yet, on whether the driver of the pickup will face charges.
