Felger & Mazz: June 6, 2013
Felger and Massarotti kicked off Thursday discussing the Boston Bruins 2-1 overtime Game 3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. With last night’s win, the Bruins take a commanding 3-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Sidney Crosby showed a little something last night compared to the first two games. Is it too little too late for the Penguins? To wrap up the first hour, we look back at Mazz’ rant against Tim Thomas for skipping out on the trip to the White House.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz talked about Tim Thomas’ time in Boston and moving on to Tuukka Rask. How much has the play of Rask helped Bruins fans forget Tim Thomas? During last night’s win, the Bruins lost Gregory Campbell for the rest of the playoffs with a broken leg. Campbell took a slap off his right leg when blocking a shot by Evgeni Malkin. With Campbell out, how will the Bruins adjust their lines?
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys talked about some of the stupid penalties committed by both teams. The guys also discussed the run-in between Brad Marchand and Chris Kunitz. Is Marchand playing dirty? How much fight do the Penguins have left in them? Does Tuukka Rask have to bring home a Stanley Cup before fans can move on from Tim Thomas? Tuukka Rask is a restricted free agent after the season. What is Rask worth? Finally, Marc “The Beetle” Bertrand explains the meaning of his T-Shirt.
In the fourth and final, Felger and Massarotti continue the discuss the highlights of last night’s Bruins Game 3 win over the Penguins. Bruins radio color analyst Bob Beer joined Felger and Mazz to talk some Bruins-Penguins. Felger reads the e-mail of the day and then we hear The Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
