I-95 Motorcycle Crash In Newton Kills Woman
HOPKINTON (CBS) -- A woman suffered fatal injuries Sunday night when the motorcycle she was riding as a passenger crashed on Interstate 95 in Newton, state police said.
The crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway. All northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for about 30 minutes during the emergency response to the crash.
The motorcycle driver and female passenger both suffered serious injuries in the crash, state police said. Both crash victims were taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston for treatment. The injured woman succumbed to her injuries.
State police did not provide further information on the operator of the motorcycle.
Members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team and Crime Scene Service Section were at the crash scene investigating the incident.
