Mayor Of Lawrence To Appear Before Grand Jury
LAWRENCE (CBS) — The Mayor of Lawrence will go before a Grand Jury Wednesday as federal investigators look into possible missing money from a city-owned parking garage.
Mayor William Lantigua will be questioned at Salem Superior Court, according to his attorney Jeffrey Denner.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Mark Katic reports
Investigators say there has been a large drop in revenue at the Museum Square Garage, totaling thousands of dollars.
Lantigua gave the job of running the garage to political ally Justo Garcia.
Denner tells WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Mark Katic, that Lantigua is not the focus of the Grand Jury Investigation.
