Sydney and her mother Celeste were injured in the bombing. Celeste lost both her legs.

"I know that I can't dance with them but just to be back with my friends from high school, I haven't seen them in over a month so I'm happy to go tonight and see everyone," Sydney said before the prom.

Celeste said she's just happy to see her daughter go to the prom. "She's been through a lot, she deserves to have fun tonight," she said.

Next up is another milestone: graduation next week.
