Patrick To Visit Ireland As Part Of Trade Mission
BOSTON (AP) — Gov. Deval Patrick is planning to head to Ireland to join a trade mission led by Senate President Therese Murray.
Patrick's press secretary said he will be in Ireland from Wednesday through Friday next week.
Patrick is planning to speak at an e-Health conference and participate in a Digital Health and Life Sciences Trade Summit.
He's also scheduled to meet with Irish business leaders whose companies have a presence in Massachusetts. Patrick will also meet with the prime minister and minister of foreign affairs and trade.
Patrick is planning to make the trip without any state secretaries or commissioners accompanying him.
In February, Patrick led a Massachusetts trade delegation to Colombia to pursue new business opportunities with the South American nation.
Murray has said she isn't using any state funds to pay for her trip.
