SALEM (CBS) – A Salem police officer was hospitalized after he was attacked by two teenaged girls at the police station Wednesday.
Police say the two teens were originally brought to the station on warrants and then got into an altercation with the officer. They allegedly assaulted the officer with an eyeliner pencil.
The officer was taken to Mass. General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The two teens are charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a police officer. Their identities have not been released because they are juveniles.
