Jackie Bradley Jr. Hits DL In Pawtucket, Free Agency Delayed
BOSTON (CBS) - All that debate about the Red Sox getting another year out of Jackie Bradley Jr. has worked itself out.
The Pawtucket Red Sox have placed the outfielder on the 7-day disabled list (retroactive to May 4) with tendinitis in his right biceps.

Wednesday will mark Bradley's 20th day in the minor leagues this season since being optioned to Pawtucket last month, which means Boston will avoid having him gain eligibility for free agency following the 2018 season.

Bradley Jr. hit .302 in 11 games for the PawSox, working as the team's DH in his last two games due to the injury. Bradley Jr. made the Red Sox after a very solid spring, but hit just .097 (3-for-31) in 12 games in the big leagues.
