BOSTON (CBS) — Thousands of people walked in the annual Walk For Hunger Sunday.
The walk raises money for anti-hunger programs around the state.
The event also marked the first major outdoor event in the downtown since the Boston Marathon bombing.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Kim Tunnicliffe reports
“I think it’s important if you’re able to help other people that you do,” one walker told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
Project Bread says there are 750,000 people in Massachusetts who do not have enough to eat.
