Three Firefighters Injured In Overnight Mattapan Blaze
MATTAPAN (CBS) - Two Boston firefighters were injured battling a fire on Evelyn Street in Mattapan early Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to scene around 3:30 a.m.
Everyone made it out of the two-family home safely.
Three firefighters were taken to the hospital; one with a back injury; a second suffered burns to the knee; and a third firefighter suffered heat exhaustion. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Red Cross was helping four adults and two children displaced by the fire.
Damage was estimated to be about $500,000.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
